What causes facial trauma?

Facial trauma injuries can result from motor vehicle accidents, work-related injuries, and falls to sports injuries, physical assaults, and accidents in the home. The type of injury determines the treatment necessary to fix the problem. Minor injuries, such as knocked-out teeth or facial cuts, may only require stitches or the placement of dental implants. Serious incidents may be more complex and require the use of multiple treatments.
